Sony is now taking pre-orders for their first Blu-ray disk player at Sony Style. The player is expected to come in around $1000 and is not slated to start shipping until July. Seems that by placing the BDP-S1 on pre-order so early, Sony may well be hoping to grab some of your tax return dollars before you blow it on some other gadget. Rumor has it that some of the big movie companies will have Blu-ray disks available as early as April.
