Portable 7.1 Sound?

for VoIP calls, voice chatting via instant messenger clients, playing games online, etc. all in a device that's a bit bigger than two AA batteries, includes a cap to protect the USB jack and is plug and play, so you don't need additional drivers to feel the noise. However, the 7.1 thing is a little fishy, especially since the words virtual 7.1 come up all over the page. I have a feeling that given the lack of extra jacks on the sound card, you're looking at emulated 7.1 sound - not too shabby if you're in a less than optimum environment, but certainly not to be confused with the Real McCoy. If you're interested in some portable power, the USB 7.1 Channel Sound Adapter retails for about $40.Via Webuser
