Pioneer’s Project KURO
While at CES, Pioneer got to show some of its newest Flat Panel Technology with Project KURO. There was a whole crowd gathered around a 50 inch display that was only 9 millimeters thick.
The Pioneer booth had a whole theater dedicated to a show about this Project KURO. The biggest selling point is that the black color on the screen is absolutely black, without any measurable light emitting from the television at all.
The only bad part about this new Project KURO is that it is still a project, and will not be commercially available this year. I suppose I do not want Pioneer to rush this one, but it would be good to have a KURO in your living room.
