After CyberHome stopped paying royalties to philips Electronics, but kept using Philips technology in their home DVD recorders and other products, Philips Electronics was rightfully angry. It seems Philips dropped the dime on CyberHome and the company was raided and 20,000 DVD recorders were seized due to patent infringement charges. "CyberHome has been using Philips DVD technology in its DVD players and recorders for a very long time now without paying royalties," said a spokesman for Philips. Philips also says CyberHome owes them millions in back royalties. The CyberHome products were sold at several big name retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Fry's and Wal-Mart.
