PeeWee Tablet PC Is Too Good For My Kids
Filed in archive Laptops by Chris Matier on April 29, 2009

The PeeWee Tablet is a rugged, water resistant, drop proof convertible tablet designed especially for kids. It runs on the same Atom processors that many of its netbook cousins have. It also has 1GB of RAM, a 60GB hard drive, a few USB ports and a webcam. It also runs a kid-friendly version of Windows XP Home. Combined with the WiFi and ethernet and you have a pretty slick machine. The Windows XP suite also has a kid friendly security system that provides protection and support for them while they are online.
The PeeWee Convertible Tablet PC runs $599.99, which is too bad because the machine would be excellent otherwise. I can see my daughter lugging around a little 3 pound tablet just like her daddy. If only she made a few hundred more dollars a month in allowance. If you are in the market for a small, touch-screen netbook, have six hundred to spare, and don't mind a computer named the PeeWee, then I dare you to give it a try.
