Peek Pronto Push Email Device Delivers Simplicity and Email

I am not one of them, but rumor has it that there is a population of people out there that have no use from an uber-complicated smart phone. For those people who prefer simplicity but still need the convenience of an email / messaging device, there is the Peek Pronto. It is a light, no-frills, communication powerhouse.
I can see the allure of the Peek Pronto. If you have a great cell phone plan and don't want to bother with changing it, or if you have a cell paid for through an employer, the Peek is what you need. It is a small and fast device that supports push email for up to five accounts. The device also provides unlimited messaging. Fees for the service are only $20 per month, and the device itself is only $80. Using T-Mobile's EDGE Network, the Peek won't work at 3G speeds, but for basic email and messaging support, which is all it does, EDGE is plenty fast. You do get full Microsoft Exchange, POP, and IMAP support, so the Peek Pronto does what it says it does pretty well.
I will stick to my iPhone, but I can't help to acknowledge that my iPhone and one month of equivalent service cost nearly $370. That is enough money for a Peek Pronto and 15 months of services. Maybe this Pronto thing isn't such a bad idea after all.
