Panasonic has recently unveiled two new portable DVD players that they claim has a battery life of 12 hours. If that is true, then the LX87-S and LS80-K have set a new record.

The LS80-K has an 8.5 screen, JPEG and MP3 compatibility, as well as an SD and SDHC card reader. The LX87-S, pictured left, has the exact same features, but comes with a 1 Seg TV tuner.

Both models are set to launch in April. I believe the initial release is for Japan, but I think American families demand longer playing portable DVD players. In other words, expect to see this one soon.
