Basically, the OTTO is able to attach itself to anything that is usually silent, such as a glass of ice water or a fishbowl, for example. It then amplifies that sound to create an interesting ambient white noise.
At least, that is what I think designer Duncan Wilson intends to do. I believe that the OTTO is in an experimental stage, but I think there is a potential for this, whenever it comes out.
