OpenX Fights the Plastic Clamshell Case
Clamshell cases: the bane of many a consumer's shopping experience. You know what I'm talking about: hard, clear plastic that seals the product you want in a Blisterlinks pack that shows you exactly what you're getting, but taunts you because once you try to open the package you just...can't...do it. I've risked mutilation, dismemberment, possibly even death by bleeding because of those stupid packs, but it seems they're hear to stay for a while. To combat the problem, there's now a whole set of products meant to make opening these packages safe and easy. One of these products is the OpenX, a $5 device that acts a bit like a safer box cutter, opening the plastic without opening your hands. If you open a lot of clamshells in your daily life (or you're just tired of struggling), this device seems worth a look.
