Onion and Gatorade Charging an iPod Debunked
A few weeks ago, I wrote about charging your iPod with Gatorade and an onion. Sounded like a really impractical idea to say the least, even if it did work.

Karl J. Mogel writes on his blog The Inoculated Mind that "your shiny new USB plugs will corrode in the solution of onion acids and Gatorade electrolytes." He also presents some video evidence of someone who took the gatorade-soaked onion and hooked it up to volt-meter. The result? Almost no electricity.

Another guy actually tried it for himself. Guess what? Didn't work. Another crackpot idea debunked.
