OK, San Fran: It’s Time to do Your Part for Geeks Everyone
Last Wednesday marked the launch date for the alpha version of LicketyShip, a same-day gadget delivery service operating in San Francisco. Need something and need it today (and by something I mean a toy, because we all know that the majority of people who use this service are the electronics junkies jonesing for a fix of the latest and greatest gadget they spotted online this morning)? For a $19.99 delivery charge it can be yours within four hours, although the company reported two days later that things were averaging more like 2 hours from order to gratification.
In any case, why does San Francisco need to step up on this one? Because LicketyShip spent over 2 years putting this service together and so far, they've only got coverage in the land of the Golden Gate…and that's it. So hit things up, Bay Area gadget-lovers: the rest of the country wants this kind of service, too.
