Nyko Helps Wii Fill its Potential
There was a period of time that my household stopped playing our Wii. In retrospect, I think it was because we stopped thinking about it as a gaming machine. We have started to pick it up again, but it is only because we see it now as a social gaming tool. It is like the worlds best electronic board game. As long as we don't think it competes with a PS3 or Xbox, we're fine. Since we shifted our paradigm, we picked up two more Wii remotes, we have begun playing it more, and we are burning through batteries. This Christmas, I think Nyko has a must buy gift for us.

The Nyko Charge Station Quad has been released, and it has the ability to keep all four of our Wii remotes charged and happy. The 4 NiMH batteries that it comes with are rated for 25 hours of gameplay per charge. I like the charger because the remotes just dock right inside, so the Nyko Charge Station Quad doubles as a Wii Remote organizer.

The Nyko Charge Station Quad runs $49.94. Compared to regular batteries, I figure the rechargeable ones with the charge station will pay for themselves in about 3 charges. To me, that is a great deal.
