Nokia BL-5C Batteries Subject To Recall
Filed in archive Mobile Phones by Dameon Welch-Abemathy on August 14, 2007

Nokia, the worlds leading mobile phone manufacturer, recently announced that BL-5C batteries manufactured by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. Ltd. of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006 are subject to a voluntary recall. In very rare cases the affected batteries could potentially experience over heating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge. No explosions, thankfully.
Hit the link for the complete list of products and instructions for determining whether or not your BL-5C is subject to the recall. Thankfully for me, of the 3 BL-5C batteries I have, none of them are subject to the recall.
