When it comes to keyboards, we just have to keep removing the clickity-click sound. Just think of how quiet your laptop is in comparison to say, a typewriter.
I suppose the next radical step is here with the No-key Keyboard by designer Kong Fanwen. It is the flattest QWERTY keyboard to this writing, and it uses camera and lighting as well as motion capture technology in order to figure out what letters or numbers that you just typed.
Even though this photo shows the keyboard immersed in water, I haven't heard if this keyboard is water-resistant. Perhaps we will need to protect our peripherals just like we do with antivirus software on our PC's!
I am not certain whether or not this will be available soon, but it certainly is a unique design on something that we all know.
