Rich over at The Apple Blog went on the hunt for a pair of affordable noise cancelling/noise reducing headphones for his significant other.

If, like me, you listen to music a lot in noisy environments (work for me - the joys of Cubicle Hell), then some decent noise canceling headphones are a huge benefit.

While not a Canonical look at the subject, Rich's post has some good information - and he even tells you what his girlfriend ended up with.
