Nintendo Wii launched in Japan

After the recent Nintendo Wii launch on the US solo the time has come for Japan to get its revenge and therefore the Wii gaming console was launched today on the Japanese solo. At some places like the Bic Camera main store there were more people (1,200) lined up than Wii's available for sale, but that didn't bother the loyal Nintendo fans.

Anyway, I found some interesting quotes from the fans that were waiting on the big lines, one of them was disguised as a Wii controller as you can see on the image:

Sony spends a lot of money for good graphics. But it's always Nintendo that comes up with new ideas, I made this (costume) by myself yesterday. This is an homage to Nintendo

Another persona had a good way of thinking about the Sony PS 3 vs Nintendo Wii:

Sony is actually an electronics company, so it pursues more and more technical things, I want to play the Wii with my son, who's 10 years old.

Sony was able to get sold out when releasing the PS3 on Japan earlier on November 11, lets see if Nintendo can do the same. It is easier for them because the device is cheaper, but only the following hours can tell if it's a hit or not.
