Nintendo DS Lite became available in the US yesterday (11 of June) - thousands, maybe millions (or not) of fans arrived earlier at the stores to get the new Nintendo piece.
This first model comes in white, more exactly, "Polar White" color and is selling at $129. There are a couple of improvements when comparing to the previous model, like a better LCD screen, smaller and lighter, better design/style, more battery life (19 hours), built-in WiFi, and others.
Nintendo staff comments:
The upgrading of a DS to a DS Lite isn't essential to enjoy New Super Mario Bros
