Nikon D50 Review @ Digital Photography Review
Summary: Nikon
's budget Digital SLR isn't as limited as the same entry point from other manufacturer's (*cough* Canon
*cough*) ranges. In some ways, the D50 beats its big brother - the D70/D70s. In most ways, it's not quite as good - but for most people, it's probably more than good enough.
For me, with a D70 as a main camera, the D50 would make a good backup camera - and for some circumstances, would probably be a better main unit. If I was looking for a first digital SLR, this would be my number one choice.
