3D Fighting Game - One

People started talking about the One last year, when it was announced by the developers - Digital Legends Entertainment - to be the next hit in the "fighting games" section for the N-Gage.

Today, Nokia and DLE announced that a demo of the One is available for download at the N-Gage website (download here). So what's all the hype behind this 3D fighting game?

To begin with, something unusual in this type of games is the customization tool. That means you can create and customize your character to meet your real life profile, or maybe to meet your favorite fighter. If you're into Jet Lee, Stalone or Van Dame it's not going to be easy to make them look alike in the N-Gage, but it's possible.

Another new feature is the motion-capture used to make the fighter movements more real. According to Nokia Producer, Ralph Laemmche: "ONE is the first mobile game that uses this level of motion capturing. We captured more than 300 animationslinks for the game. Because of this, and other factors, the development of the title is comparable to console game development much more than to mobile game development".

One also uses real locations around the world, including: Barcelona, New York, the Caribbean, Area 51 (uhhhh..scary) and more. There are 3 playing modes available: story, versus and survival.

  • In the story mode you can unlock customization tools (like clothing) and new locations

  • In the versus mode, (the name says it all) play against your friends via bluetooth or versus your enemies worldwide via N-Gage Arena. After each fight you can check your ranking in the Arena, and see your performance

  • For the last mode... just try to survive
