New iPhone OS About To Drop

They say if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but with the case of mobile operating systems, there's always room for improvement. Apple plans to announce its iPhone 4.0 mobile operating system later this week, as the tech giant gears up for its next push to gain market share in the competitive smartphone industry.
Naturally rumors are flying concerning some of the forthcoming features and updates. Among the big ones: Multitasking to run multiple apps simultaneously with an improved tab system, a whole host of graphical and user interface updates to improve navigation and file location.
Finally, it appears 4.0 will introduce an entirely new syncing ability for both the contacts and calendar applications. As of yet, the new OS is said to be available only for the iPhone 3G and 3GS.
