New Glucose Monitoring Gadget Could Save Time and Lives

I love gadgets, I really do. I love them even more when they can really help people. Take diabetics for example. When we have to constantly prick our finger and test our blood to make sure we don't slip into a coma, we wish some handy gadget would come along and save some time and pain.
Freedom Meditech has a promising solution. They have presented a glucose monitoring unit that you hold up to your eye. The unit scans your eye and can determine your blood sugar level. The test is said to only take a few seconds – amazing!
The unit is set for clinical trials later this year. This type of technology is new and exciting but Freedom Meditech understands the challenges ahead:
