Sometimes it's best to shock someone when you want to make a point. Sometimes that shock might come literally, especially when you get a company with a name like Static! involved. Static! appears to be more of a think tank than a company per se, but that's not stopping them from putting out some pretty cool products, all aimed at "increasing energy awareness." An example: the Power Aware Cord, which is loaded with blue LEDs (love those blue LEDs) that get brighter and pulse faster the more power goes through them. Plug the Power Aware Cord (which is really more of a power strip) into your living room and you'll probably have a heart attack from surprise about the energy consumption...or spend the next few hours staring at the pretty blue light.
