Moxia USBCell AA Batteries Make for Lovely Recharging

Yes, we really still use these dang AA batteries that eat up power like hungry termites in a forest. However, we don't have to be their slave anymore as the USBCell Batteries from Moxia work for us and not against us.

All it is a cap for the AA batteries that can be recharged via USB. To be honest, I'm not certain why I haven't seen more of these, but it takes 1-2 hours to charge it, and it is good for about 7 hours of use.

Not certain how much this costs or the availability date, but I certainly think it's quite useful.

I got some of these as a gift and it took about 2 seconds to find out this product is probably the dumbest idea I’ve ever seen. Modern rechargeables have at least DOUBLE the capacity of these batteries. At a pathetic 1300mah capacity it’s like buying an ancient NiCad rechargeable AA made in 1998. Why? Because the USB plug and electronics take up space that could be used for the battery itself. This raises the cost of production while lowering the reserve capacity.

With regular NiMH rechargeables one can charge FOUR AAs with quick chargers in between 1-2 hours. These take a whopping 5 HOURS to charge to 90% and that’s if you have the spare USB ports and want to leave your PC on that long… all for HALF the power.

As for price I can get a SIX pack of high capacity NiMH AAs for about $13 at a wholesale club while these list for TWO for about $17.

Bottom line is save your money and stay away!
