Moving Notification From Pocket to Wrist
If you've got a need to know who's calling you but spend a lot of time in locations where you can't just pull out your phone to check the screen (meetings, training exercises, your in-law's dining room), Fossil has a watch they hope you'll try out. The FX6001, which comes out in November (just in time for those long Thanksgiving meals) uses Bluetooth to hook up with Sony Ericsson phones, displaying called ID information and SMS text notifications on the face of the watch. The watch also vibrates when you have an incoming call and allows you to mute the ringer or reject the call with a push of a button.

To be honest, I can't see the point of this watch; do people really have that much of a problem reaching into their pockets/onto their belt clips to see who's calling them? Maybe if you're in the habit of keeping your phone in a bag (or want to start doing so), a buzzing watch is the way to go, but if people are looking for that level of notification, they should skip the watch and jump directly to chips implanted in the skull.
