Mod: Cooking With USB
A few months ago I read a story about how the George Foreman Grill has become the perfect cooking gadget for low-income and homelesslinks people who, if they have access to a stove, can't afford to cook on one - it's powerful, portable and does a good job cooking meat. I wonder if this mod, developed by a Japanese tech-head, might become the George Foreman Grill of starving computer geeks - ones with access to way too many USB ports, anyway. The Google translation of the page doesn't really do the description justice, but it looks like the modder added six USB PCI cards to his MSI motherboard, plugged all of them into a heater he constructed that could draw power from all of the USB ports without shorting out the power supply and put the heater into a USB cup warmer. Then he cooked up some meat (of course).
