Mini Motorbike With Web Connectivity: Yamaha Bobby
Okay, so motorbike is putting it a bit strongly, but you get the idea. The Yamaha Bobby is an electric "commuter vehicle" that you can turn on or off by waving your mobile phone in front of, and in addition to getting you to work, this little wonder will also hook you up to the web.
"Who would've thought the day would come where an electric commuter vehicle would feature Internet connectivity? Yamaha's BOBBY prototype does just that, in addition to other hi-tech features such as turning it on or off simply by holding up your FeliCa-enabled cellphone to the switch. Other interesting developments include a collapsible seat, a fold-in rear wheel, Handlebars and footrests for easy and convenient storage.
Unfortunately for those people desperate to look even bigger losers than the early adopters of the Sinclair C5, the Bobby is only a prototype at the moment. What a shame.
