However, many have speculated that this "laser sendoff" could be a reference to a new type of technology for laser mice. In fact, there is an MS Explorer Mini Mouse with "Blue Track" technology at Amazon.de. Apparently the Blue Track uses a blue LED with a wide-angle lens that can work on more surfaces than laser or even optical.
I suppose that we will find out on 9.9.08, the date that Microsoft is saying goodbye. If there are a whole slew of Blue Track mice available then, then the rumors are true.
