Microsoft to unveil new Xbox 2 on MTV
Apparently, MTV will play host to a 30 minute special, unveiling the new XBox 2/XBox 360 on May 12th. With the Playstation 3 die to be released a few days after (on the 16th), this is an interesting time to be a gamer.
Gaming's something I don't do a lot of - nor do I follow it overly closely. Does anyone know if XBox games will work on this next generation xbox? If not, I've got a copy of Burnout 3 that's going to feel very unloved...

It would be silly for MS not to include backward compatibility with Xbox 1 games. PS2's can play PS1 games, so hopefully Xbox will go the same way. Personally, I would be unimpressed if I couldn't continue to play Fable. :)

From a customer perspective, it would - but I can see leaving it out it making sense from an engineering perspective.
And let's face it - large corporates aren't always known for their excellent customer service...
