Microsoft Makes a Mac Only Keyboard & Mouse?

This is very odd, Microsoft has a new keyboard & Mouselinks that are for Mac use only. Perhaps they figured they needed to say thanks to Apple for opening up a whole new market for the Windows OS on Mac computers. In the geek world saying thanks with a keyboard & mouse is certainly better than flowers. The part that is odd to me is that the keyboard & mouse were not even developed by the Apple Business Unit over at Microsoft but rather the Hardware Team. So Mac heads on older PowerPC or he new Intel Mac have at it, a real Mac keyboard direct from Microsoft.
