Mead Five Star Binder with Built-in Speaker
Filed in archive Sound Makers by Mark Rollins on February 5, 2007

, those things that you loathed to buy during "back to school" sales? Well, apparently, they are updating for the youth of the new millennium with their trademark Five Star Binder that comes with, that's right, a built-in speaker that is compatible with the iPod and other sound systems. Call me crazy, but I don't see the point to this. If a student has an iPod, shouldn't they be content in their sound experience. If they want to share their musical experience on the bus or lunch room, all this is going to do is create headaches for bus drivers and teachers. Something tells me they'll try and market this in the most ingenious way possible, like show a commercial where a nerd has to make friends with the cool kids by playing music on his binder. Maybe I shouldn't have given them that idea.
