Design and functionality are a hard match sometimes, I guess that is the case with the Elecom mouse called M-D13UR. Besides the design there are 2 or 3 good features in this product such as a USB wireless dongle port, and not using a scroll wheel (has been replaced with a touchpad). In the end, it's the ergonomic factors that count a lot on a mouse and I think the M-D13UR is below the average.
One of the strange features is that the mouse can change its shape, like you can see in the following image:
