Mazda Magic Rearview Mirror

One thing I can't stand, it's backing my car out. Those mirrors are good, but driving backwards is, for the most part, driving by faith. Sometimes I just wish that a real-time screen would show me what not to hit.
The ford motor company has figured out a method using a technology that puts video displays in mirrors. As soon as you shift your car into reverse, the little display of what is behind you appears in your rear-view mirror.
The plan is to put these Magic Mirrors into the new Mazda SUVs. I wouldn't be surprised if this became an industry standard, but what do you know when the lens breaks?

I think this is a great idea. My only problem with this is that people will depend mostly on the image in the mirror instead of actually looking for themselves. I wish more models would also incorporate this in their design.

Using this Rearview Magic Mazda Mirror- http://www.automotivemazparts.com/mazda-mirror/ -is a safer way to prevent the car from hitting unseen objects while doing a reverse. Having this as a feature in other cars models is a great idea.
