Logitech ClearChat Pro USB
My old USB headphones were starting to fall apart. Considering I use them to both listen to music and make calls on Skype, it was time for a new pair of headphones. After staring at the available headphones at my local office depotlinks, I settled on the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB.

The earpieces are a little small, but they are comfortable. The volume and mute control are actually in the headset so I don't have to reach part way down the cable to change the volume settings or mute my microphone. There's a "mute" light on the microphone that lights up at the appropriate time. Nice touch.

The headset also has an equalizer with three settings: music, gaming, and voice. I am not a big gamer, but I tried using Skype and listening to music on iTunes. The headset performs fairly well for both tasks on my MacBook.
