Logitec Pocket Router Meets A Big Need

Thanks to my job, I do quite a bit of travel. Some hotels have nice, free WiFi access, but often times there is nothing but a wired-Ethernet port. In fact, it often seems that the nicer the hotel, the more expensive the WiFi becomes (Denver Sheraton – I am looking at you). Logitec (not Logitech, there is a difference) has the perfect solution for me. A wireless pocket router.
Seriously, a pocket sized router is not something you think about needing until you absolutely have to have it. This offereing from Japanese company Logitec is so small that it easily fits in the palm of your hand and weighs less that 55 grams. The device actually has smaller dimensions than my iPhone, and it offers many features of larger and bulkier models. As far as security is concerned, the Logitec Pocket Router offers WPA2 (AES), WPA (TKIP), and WEP128/64. The device also has MAC address filtering and standard DMZ capability for gaming. It broadcasts 802.11 b/g through its built-in antenna, so it should meet all your basic speed needs.
Devices like this bring up some interesting situations. Who is to keep users from jacking into libraries or businesses with these devices and constantly milking the bandwidth. Something this small could easily be planted. None the less, for the business traveler; this could be a must have gadget.
