Storage Stuff

10MB per second isn't the fastest transfer speed on the block, but it is screaming when it comes to wireless transfers. 10MB is the approximate speed limit of a new protocol, UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) that allows for wireless fill transfers at faster than WiFi speeds. Leyio has implemented UWB into a new file sharing device. This little guy is capable of flinging your data around wirlessly at blinding speeds withouth the need for a computer or WiFi hotspot.
Transfer between devices will, of course, require that both you and your friend have a Leyio. To transfer the device, simply select it via the dual-purpose jog wheel/biometric scanner (more on that later), and flick your wrist. You also have the option of transfering files via USB with a wireless data or by plugging a USB drive into the Leyio. So, effectively, you can swap large amounts of data off of the 16GB Leyio drive without ever needing a PC. That is a very convenient thing.
The Leyio UWB drive is also very secure thanks to its biometric scanner. You cannot access the device without the right thumb. The Leyio has a rechargable Lion battery that charges via USB. That little battery should keep the UWB radio, 1.5 inch OLED display, and 16GB of NAND memory up and running for approximately 30 days. To be honest, the Leyio sounds pretty cool; it is available for $159. If you are looking for a 16GB flash drive, why not go with one with all of the bells and whistles?
