Motorola announced yesterday that they are launching a service called M-Wallet. With Motorola's M-wallet service phone users are supposed to be able to make purchases with their cell phones rather than credit cards. M-Wallet is also supposed to allow you to pay bills and transfer money within your own country and to other countries.

The M-Wallet service is also designed to allow merchants to offer customers loyalty points or special offers via their cellphones. Motorola does state users of the service will have to opt in to receive coupons and other offers.
