The Maxbook 810 is a laptop designed for thin client use. With flash memory for applications rther than a hard drive, it runs XP Embedded, and one or more of the many thin client options. With both LAN connections and 802.11b wireless you're good to go when you're around home base - when you're out and about, there's a 56k modem built in.
