Kington Makes the Flash Drive Games Leap
I've mentioned flash drives with pre-installed software in the past; now memory maker Kingston has taken the next logical step and released a flash drive that has two pre-installed games, along with the normal 256 MB to 1 GB of space. The drive is called the DataTraveler Mini Fun and it comes with two puzzle games: atlantislinks and Magic Vines. From Kingston's description of the drive it sounds like they added the games as an afterthought to see if it would boost the drive's sales, but I can see this idea becoming a reason to make a drive in the future. Imagine going to a games store and buying a flash drive that can run the game as soon as you plug it in, instead of mucking around with installation CDs and hard drive space.
