Japanese Offer Quick Fix for Computer Problems – Pray

© Justin Marty
Have you protected your laptop from all the nasties out there? Is your virus scan software and your adware scanner working? What about a S.M.A.R.T. monitor for your hard drive? How about a blessing from a Japanese monk?
No seriously. Have you had your laptop blessed? Over in Japan, at the Akihabara Shrine, visitors show up every week to have their laptops blessed for protection from viruses, BSOD's, and other sneaky problems. I have been known to pray that a new piece of hardware or software doesn't make Windows Vista freak out, but these Shinto Monks have taken things a bit far.
If your standard protection measures aren't working out for you, head over to the Kanda-Myojin Shinto shrine in Tokyo. You can have your machine blessed, and you can pick up a holy microchip of protection.
Seriously…
