iUnika GYY Netbook is Cheap to Buy and Cheaper to Run

If I told you there was a new netbook hitting the market that only has a 400Mhz processor, 128MB of RAM, and a 64GB hard drive, you would have to try to care less. If I told you the specs would be ok because the netbook would be running a custom Linux distribution with very little overhead, you still wouldn't care. What if I told you that you would never have to plug the thing in; would you care then? Netbook designer and distributor iUnikia hopes so.
The iUnikia netbook is a bit lean on technical specs, but it is solar powered. That's right, you will never have to plug the thing in or charge the battery. The little guy runs all 400 hundred of it's little Mhz on nothing but the sun. The RAM is certainly nothing to write home about, but the 64GB hard drive is a high-speed SSD. The target audience for this device might be a bit elusive. People who care so much about the environment that they would want a solar powered laptop, may not even want a laptop. The adventurers and outdoors types that could use solar power may want more oomph in a computer. This product may fit best in a third world or emerging market where a power grid is harder to come up with.
It is being released in the UK in June, and it will run approximately $200 (160 Euros). The computer only weighs a couple of pounds, and it doesn't eat much, so it might make a good pet if it ever makes it stateside.
