Apple doesn't like to make one release only, when they got new things it's always two or three. So with the latest iPod Nano news, an iTunes related story also pops up...
It was reported before that iTunes has total control of the music market in the internet, there were and still are a lot of people buying songs for $0.99 each, and it's time for a reward. In their words: "Music lovers like you in 21 countries around the globe have purchased nearly one billion songs from the iTunes Music Store. And as we count down to this massive milestone in digital music history, we'd like to thank you for joining us."
Here is the resume: the lucky person to get the billionth song will receive nothing more, nothing less then ten 60GB iPods! Isn't that great? I mean, it's not one iPod, nor two... it's ten! Five of each color~ What to do with so many iPods??? That's not all, you'll also receive a 20-inch iMac
and $10,000 to spend on iTunes.
That was the master prize, the other one started recently and is for "music fans who download every 100,000th song" the price being a black 4GB Nano and more $$ to spend on iTunes, this time it's only $100.
PS - As I'm writing this entry, the total of recently purchased songs in iTunes is 956,291,455, check the "graphic" in the iTunes site. It resembles the GMail site with the space always growing
To make a contrast with all the good things it's always good to think: iTunes is Malware?
