It's Woot-Off Time Again

's motto: one day, one deal. And they sell one item a day, until it's sold out or until midnight central time. Then a new "woot" (item) goes up at midnight central time.What does Woot sell? A variety of things. Many of the things would be appropriate to discuss on The Gadgets Weblog. I have purchased some keyboards and mice from Woot and was very happy with the price and the overall experience.
Every once in a while, though, at random unannounced times, we get what's called a Woot-off! Instead of waiting until the next day to sell the next item, the next item goes up right away. "An avalance of woots is released" as the Woot-off song says (warning: MP3 link). In fact, while writing this post, the active item changed at least a half dozen times.
And, oh by the way, they do sell something called Random Crap. It's their most popular item. Always sells out in seconds and brings the Woot servers to a screeching halt. You're guaranteed at least one in a Woot-off.
This madness continues for anywhere between 24 and 72 hours and stops as quickly-and as unannounced-as it started. But that's life as a Woot fan.
FYI, you can only buy from Woot if you live in the continental US. That's because of how they ship-usually ground. Hey, shipping is always just $5 per order. Can't beat that.
