It Makes Your Backup Solution Look Weak
Remember the Iomega Ultramax external drive I talked about early in early September? 640 GB of RAID 0 drive space in one USB 2.0 solution? Yeah, you can forget about that - it's old news.

Enter the Western Digital My Book Pro Edition II, a monster name for a monster drive: 1 TB (that's 1,000 GB for you hard drive newbies) in a RAID 0/RAID 1 external setup, equipped with FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. The drive also features an external monitor that tells you how much space you have left, software that makes setting up RAID and schedulinglinks backups easy and best of all, the ability to switch out drives for replacements (in case of problems, storage upgrades, etc.) without voiding the 3 year warranty. The My Book Pro Edition II retails for about $550.
