In the wake of
Apple's announcement yesterday that Leopard, the next version of OSX, will come out in October instead of June because of developmental delays associated with the iPhone, the investment banks who rate
apple's stock made an announcement of their own:
they support the wait. Although the obvious reason for this surprising support in the face of the delay decision is the perceived future success of the iPhone, rumor also has it that the delay is not because of development team shifts, but because Apple is planning to build full support for Vista into the Leopard version of Boot Camp, fundamentally strengthening Apple's market position. If this rumor is true, we could have a very interesting autumn battle shaping up in the computer world.
