'Intel mini' Prototype
Filed in archive Desktops by Andrew Garrett on June 1, 2005

It's cute enough I suppose, but as far as I can tell the main point of the Mac Mini wasn't that it had that particular form factor, it was that it was cheap enough to be an entry level Mac. Sure, small and cute is the way Apple does these things, but it's its ability to run OSX and not completely break the bank that's the main attraction
to most folk (me included, despite the two macs already in my life).
Still, I really like seeing PC companies shedding the last remnants of the dreaded beige box - I spent two years selling those things in the mid-90s; To this day, the sight of enough beige makes me feel slightly nauseous.
