Instinct vs. iPhone Let the Touchscreen Phone Wars Begin.
Unless you have been stranded on a deserted island for the past few months, then you are aware that the iPhone 3G is hitting the scene on July 11th in over 20 countries. Through the fog of the iPhone hype, you might have missed the news that the samsung instinct is debuting on June 20th for the low cost of $129.99 (after $100 rebate).

The Samsung Instinct features a touch-screen interface, on screen QWERTY keyboard, removable battery, expandable memory, and 3G speeds. Based on those specs, the Instinct is going after the iPhone in a big way. The iPhone will set you back $199.00, so the Instinct is even a few bucks cheaper.

The Instinct will be living on Sprint's network. That, for some, is a major drawback, but for the AT&T haters, it is probably just the thing to get them to go for the sleek new phone. Like the iPhone, you will need to purchase a voice and data combo plan for around $69.99.

So if your looking for a sleek touchscreen phone and refuse to buy into the iPhone hype, give the Samsung Instinct a chance.
