Infrared Wine Sensor...With a Big Markup
Filed in archive Just For Fun by Eric Hanson on June 5, 2007

set: an infrared thermometer and corkscrew. For $120, you get a standard corkscrew mounted with an infrared temperature sensor, so you can test the temperature of your bottle of vino before opening to get the optimal taste. It's a nice enough idea, but as Well Fed Network Blogger John Eddy points out, it's essentially a $35 device with a $90 markup. Like I said: one for the Sharper Image set.
