For the Howard Hughes like among us that desire a more hygienic keyboard, InduKey has a new keyboard that is aimed at industrial users where things have to be kept clean. The keyboard is called the InduProof3 and comes with a Hall sensor mouse button and back lighting. Encased in a silicone cover the keyboard is protected form water, dust and dirt and it is completely sealed to IP68 standard. In addition the InduProof 3 is rated to NEMA6P for full immersion in disinfectants or other liquids. You can check out the full press release here.

For those of us spending 10-12 hours beside our PC, a hygenic keyboard is a welcome news. ANyway, we also need to have a more comfortable keyboard. Speech recognition may one day replace keyboard but that day is not near.
