Implanting ID Info in Teeth
Filed in archive Tech News Around The World by Shane McGlaun on March 5, 2006

This is just plain weird. Gizmodo is reporting that researchers at the Catholic University of Leuven have been somewhat successful (whatever that means) at implanting id information into teeth.
Supposedly, the id tags would be used to allow authorities to obtain information about you in the event of a catastrophe. Brings new meaning to the term Dental Records
. Also mentioned is that the wireless transmitters are an adapted RFID tag and are similar to the ones used to track animals. The tags are able to withstand extreme heat and cold, which is good news for the Hot Pocket lovers among us.
