I’m Sorry…Is Your Water Bottle Yelling at You?
If you're the sort of person that needs to drink more water and requires some sort of outside motivation to do so, Sportline has your number: a high-tech water bottle with an LCD called the HydraCoach. Coach, you say? As in someone who uses "motivational techniques" (i.e., yelling at you) to help you achieve some goal? The very same, dear reader, the very same.
At least, that's how it seems. According to the press release, the bottle "Monitors and Motivates an individual to stay properly hydrated" after that individual enters his or her drinking goals into the bottle's computer. What that motivation is exactly the Sportline page doesn't deign to say, nor does it mention another important water bottle specification: the fluid capacity. All that computing power isn't of much use if your water bottle holds less water than a normal bottle, especially if you're out in the wilds and away from a tap.
